Taking the bus to work - instead of driving in – reduces your risk of heart attack. Car drivers increase their chances of heart disease by 70 per cent, a new research project has found.
Perhaps surprisingly, a researcher from the Umea University in Sweden found that taking the bus or the train was almost as good as walking or cycling. Physical activity at work can also help longterm health, as can exercise – although, strangely, only if you’re a man.
