I’ve recently had surgery for high-grade DCIS, and am now undergoing radiotherapy. After reading WDDTY vol 14 no 11, I am really worried because of all the biopsies and mammograms I’ve had.
I want to stop the radiotherapy as the thought of lung cancer terrifies me, but I am confused and don’t know what to do. I would prefer to go down the alternative route, but do you have any suggestions for cancer patients who cannot afford those methods? - C. Doherty, via e-mail
WDDTY replies: As with all treatments, we cannot make your decision for you, but we can suggest that you examine the data for both radiotherapy and DCIS before deciding what to do. See our Cancer Handbook or even attend our Your Cancer Battle Plan conference for a plethora of ideas on how to battle cancer successfully and cheaply.
